GATE OPEN FOR YOUTH TENNIS

GATE OPENS FOR YOUTH TENNIS
The Georgia Afterschool Tennis and Education (GATE) program is back in swing. GATE is a partnership between the Georgia Afterschool Investment Council (GAIC), the United States Tennis Association/National Junior Tennis and Learning (USTA/NJTL), United Way of Metropolitan Atlanta, and the Atlanta Youth Tennis & Education Foundation to bring the sport of tennis to local afterschool programs across the state of Georgia in Atlanta, Augusta, and Savannah.
AYTEF coaches will provide physical activity and instruction for at least 7 sites, some of which are located in Metro Atlanta Boys & Girls Clubs, DeKalb, Fulton and Gwinnett County Elementary Schools, and the City of East Point Parks & Recreation Center.
Over 300 youth are participating in the lifetime sport of tennis which reduces health risks, increases fitness and promotes critical life skills. The 6 week tennis initiative will end May 18th. If you are interested in volunteering, please call Cee Jai at 770-416-4333.
